Cot to Bed to Sofa
From a tiny baby to teenager, this piece of furniture grows up with your child. Starting as a traditional cot, it then becomes a bed… and finally, a sofa. The Simon Horn Cot is available in two different lengths and carries an additional brass plate engraved with the child’s name and birth date or a short dedication. Available in cherry or painted finish (typically flat white or antiqued ivory, but bespoke finishes are possible)
Stage One. In its first form, the cot has one fixed side and one drop side which fixes securely in the raised position using solid brass fittings. A baby safety mattress is included and the whole piece conforms to BSI and EC safety requirements.
Stage Two. At around two years old, children are typically ready to move into their first bed. Both sides can be removed and a sprung mattress added, turning the cot into a classic Lit Bateau … ideal for the dreams of every aspiring swashbuckling pirate or princess!
Stage Three. Eventually every child will grow out of the bed, at which time the Simon Horn Cot can move on to its final form. The back is reinstated and it is dress with cushions to become a small sofa, which can be used anywhere in the home.
